Sara Hosey is the Coordinator of the Women's Studies Project and a professor of English at NCC. She is a full-time feminist who enjoys being outdoors, reading, and spending time with her kids.

Pramila Venkateswaran, poet laureate of Suffolk County, Long Island, and author of Thirtha (Yuganta Press, 2002) Behind Dark Waters (Plain View Press, 2008), Draw Me Inmost (Stockport Flats, 2009), and Trace (Finishing Line Press, 2011), is an award winning poet who teaches English and Women's Studies at Nassau Community College, NY. She is the 2011 Walt Whitman Birthplace Association Long Island Poet of the Year.
Shanice B. is a former president of the Women Students' Association (WSA) at NCC. She now attends Smith College. She likes dogs, pizza, Kanye West, and drag shows.
Although former WSA President Laura Perez is now studying Urban Planning at Queens College, she maintains close ties to Women's Studies at NCC. In addition to spending time reading, writing, and sailing with friends, Laura does a lot of yoga.
Avid social justice blogger, Douglas is a current student at NCC and hopes to become a Clinical Nurse Practitioner Ph.D.
